Saint-Leu boat tour, Amiens: on foot this year, by boat from 2027
Saint-Leu is one of the liveliest districts of Amiens: canals, houses, terraces, restaurants, passages along the water. In 2026, Ecologik Amiens shows you Saint-Leu on foot — as a walking tour — or in a combined format, the boat in the heart of the Hortillonnages followed by a walk to Saint-Leu. The boat tour through Saint-Leu itself returns for the 2027 season.
Saint-Leu, on foot or in a combined format
This season, there are two ways to approach Saint-Leu with Jules. On foot first: a walking tour of the district and the cathedral, at the pace of the lanes and the banks. Then the combined format: a boat tour in the heart of the Hortillonnages, followed by a walk to Saint-Leu, to carry on from the water to the heritage.
The boat tour through Saint-Leu returns in 2027. Until then, the outing on the water to book is the boat getaway in the heart of the Hortillonnages, a loop from Île au Fagot.
A calm discovery, in a small group
No shuttle, no crowd: the walking tours welcome up to 15 people, the Hortillonnages boat up to 10 seats, babies in arms not counted. Jules sets the pace and takes the time to look at the façades, the water and the life of the district, with no microphone and no overplayed commentary.
Jules speaks French and English — visitors from abroad passing through Saint-Leu can book with no difficulty.
Carry on in the district
The strength of Saint-Leu is that it offers a natural next step: walk, have a drink, have lunch, find a terrace or carry on towards the town centre. At the end of the walking tour or the combined format, you are right in the heart of the district, free to carry on at your own pace. Drinks, meals or purchases are paid directly to the venues.
Who is it for?
Couples on a weekend, families with children, visitors passing through, people from Amiens who want to rediscover the district, small groups looking for a gentle activity before a restaurant: the Saint-Leu outings are meant for all of them.
